Bank transfer
You can pay me with IBAN from abroad or domestic payments inside Sweden with Bankgiro. The BIC code is the address for the bank within the SWIFT transfer system. BIC is short for Bank Identifier Code an international standard for foreign payments. But you can use IBAN to pay someone in your country too, it's just a bank-to-bank account transfer. It works for domestic payments as well but is mostly used for international payments. The BIC code is often called "the SWIFT code" which is incorrect. SWIFT is the organisation that manages payments with BIC codes. SWIFT is short for Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication.
